REVIEW:
Clint Werner’s writing is a tale of savage combat, hard characters and when backed with a harsh setting, leaves the reader in no doubt about how he plays for keeps. In this tale set during a different time period of the Empire to the norm, the reader is treated to a book that sets the plague against mankind as the Ratkin seek to utilise their own brand of chemical warfare.
It’s different, its harsh and all in a satisfying read as the lead characters allow the tale to flow from start to finish during this difficult period in its history. Add to this a clear overall view of where he wants to go and the reader in in for a treat. All in this is Clint’s writing at its best which when backed with heroics and dastardly deed leave the reader in no doubt what to expect.
